The rain was a blessing in disguise!

Folks!

I really love the way JD Lovrenciear wrote his or her letter. No wonder MalaysiaKini decided to publish it on their website today. :-)

The letter was like a beautiful poem decorated with beautiful words such as ‘embraced by the weeping skies’ and ‘the weeping skies work on the emotions’. JD Lovrenciear sure has a way with words. :-)

Yeah! The rain that accompanied BERSIH’s mass rally Saturday was indeed special. I was there on that day and I personally consider the heavy downpour as God sends, it was sent down to protect the rally participants.

The rain did wonders for us that day. It lessened the effects of those painful tear gases and stinging water cannons fired at will by the authorities. The effects would have been really painful and quite unbearable if there was no rain on that day. I should know because I had the opportunity to join a mass demonstration held at KLCC a few years back and we were bombarded with those same tear gases then. There was no rain and the sky was blazing hot! The sting of those tear gases was really painful.

BERSIH… If you folks want to organize another mass rally in the future, please ask participants to bring along their goggles and facial masks. :-)

Alhamdulillah! All Praise to Allah swt for Protecting us from harm. Our prayers and duas have been answered! BERSIH’s mass rally went on without any unwanted incidents (violence or destruction) and we had successfully submitted the memorandum to the attention of our Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
