Putrajaya bridge is falling down, falling down

Great! Just great!

A few days ago our Information Minister Dato’ Seri Zainuddin Maidin gave us the indication that our Malaysian press may have been given explicit instruction to concoct perpetrated news that could win the hearts of the Malaysian public. Any other news that may jeopardize the nation or to be more precise, the government, could have been instructed to be played down or suppressed!

Excellent!

Well, guess what my dear good Dato’… I’m sure that you would know by now that those France-based folks over at Reporters Without Borders Dot Org have recently released their Worldwide Press Freedom Index for the year 2007. Do you know how and where they rank Malaysia this year?

Pathetic! We are in the 124th position (MalaysiaKini has more on this story) out of 169 countries! Even Israel and Tonga are ranked higher than Malaysia! How embarrassing!

Malaysia Boleh, my dear Dato’, eh? :-)

What a heartbreaker! This whole thing really spoils up our current government feel-good propaganda, the first Malaysian in space!

Like I said in my previous post, what is the point of bragging about our Malaysian in space when we could not even take care of our own inner space here in Malaysia?

It is a complete waste of time!

My dear Dato’, maybe you should ask our Malaysian media to suppress the news about that Worldwide Press Freedom Index from the Malaysian public on the double. You need to do some damage control fast, Dato’. You still got time, just like Astro used to say in that famous advertisement.

Bwah! Ha! Ha!
