I can still remember my old days working 9 to 5 on a pathetic monthly salary in the past. Back then, I really didn’t give much of a damn about taking care of my personal finance then simply because I hardly had the time to do so.
Well, that was then. Ever since I quit my job and went into business full time a few years back, I am becoming more aware about my personal finance nowadays. Slowly but surely, I’m beginning to understand what thrifty living is all about. I’m still learning but getting the hang of it at the moment. :-)
It is not easy to save money, folks. You have to fight off temptations and greed. Believe me; it is not at all easy. I guess the most important thing about taking care of your personal finance is to ask the right kind of questions. Questions such as should you make advance payments or prepay your mortgage, loans and so forth by paying more than the required minimums. I do not have the exact answer for you since it all depends on your affordability. Some folks can afford to pay more and some could not. However, I have found that it is best to pay more since the additional payments just might help you in the future. Besides, it will make you look good to your bankers. :-)
Good luck, folks! I wish you all the best in taking care of your personal finance in the coming New Year.
