SYABAS, the state of Selangor’s water concessionaire extraordinaire was hit by MTUC yesterday. According to MTUC, SYABAS earned a whopping RM25 millions simply through their water disconnections and reconnections exercise! MalaysiaKini has more on this story.
Man, that’s a lot of money!
MTUC and CAWP are concerned with SYABAS’s multi million ringgit endeavor because it is impacting our poor Malaysian livelihoods. I have to agree with them on this particular issue, SYABAS has definitely gone ‘terbabas’ way too much!

On another development, staffs of our local banks went on a peaceful picket yesterday right in front of Maybank Tower in Kuala Lumpur. HarakahDaily reported that more than 1,000 bank employees joined the picket along with MTUC. They were demanding for a 30% increase in salaries, bonuses and COLAs (Cost of Living Allowance).
Yeah, our bank employees truly deserved such perks and benefits all right! They certainly work harder and better than our overly-pampered government servants. Got that, government servants and yet many of them behaved and worked like they own the government. :-(

It is interesting to see that MTUC is involved in both events. No, there’s nothing wrong with that. As matter of fact, it is comforting to see that MTUC has worked real hard to help our poor Malaysians nowadays. :-)
Way to go, MTUC! Keep it up!
As for you folks out there, have some pity on our poor Malaysians, okay. If you still think that Barisan Nasional is the world’s greatest government, go ahead and vote for them again in the next coming general election. Give everyone more sufferings and pain next time.
You folks never learnt, do you? :-(
Especially for you Barisan Nasional lovers out there! |
