I knew that one day it would end like this. :-(
I’m talking about SUHAKAM’s surprise decision to back down from their previous insistence that a public inquiry should be held to investigate the bloody Pantai Batu Buruk incident. They cited legal restrictions as an excuse. MalaysiaKini has more on this pathetic story. :-(
You know folks. We Malaysians should be ashamed of ourselves. Just look at those Buddhist monks over in Myanmar who peacefully stood up against their ruthless military government recently. They really went all out then, weren’t they?
Look at us pathetic Malaysians. Make a lot of noises here and there at the front end, ‘Dong Dang Dong Dang’ and then after a few weeks somebody says ‘Whoops!’ forcing everything to simmer down and in the end all is forgotten!
There are too many chickens amongst us! :-(
No wonder those folks in Barisan Nasional are so damn powerful. They are practically untouchable!

'Abdullah bin Abi Aufa's Hadith, may Allah be pleased with him.
Abu Al-Nadr narrated from a book that was sent by a man from Aslam tribe, who was a Companion of the Holy Prophet (may peace be upon him) and whose name was 'Abdullah bin Abi Aufa, to 'Umar bin 'Ubaidullah when the latter marched upon Haruriyah (Khawarij) informing him that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) in one of those days when he was confronting the enemy waited until the sun had declined. Then he stood up (to address the people) and said: O you men, do not wish for an encounter with the enemy. Pray to Allah to grant you security; (but) when you (have to) encounter them, exercise patience, and you should know that Paradise is under the shadows of the swords. Then the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) stood up (again) and said: O Allah, Revealer of the Book, Dispenser of the clouds, Defeater of the hordes, put our enemy to rout and grant us victory over them.
Hadith number in Sahih Muslim [Arabic only]: 3276
'Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: (The value of) an action depends on the intention behind it. A man will be rewarded only for what he intended. The emigration of one who emigrates for the sake of Allah and His Messenger (may peace be upon him) is for the sake of Allah and His Messenger (may peace be upon him); and the emigration of one who emigrates for gaining a worldly advantage or for marrying a woman is for what he has emigrated.
Hadith number in Sahih Muslim [Arabic only]: 3530
