Similarities between Hinduism and Islam?

I wanted to post this question here in this blog for a very long time but I was quite hesitant to do so in the past due to several reasons. However, today I decided to go ahead with the idea after seeing my previous post about Brother Abdullah posted yesterday received more than 2,000 unique hits or visitors to date! Amazing!

So, what are the similarities between Hinduism and Islam?

No no… I’m not going to give preaches here today. I would let Dr. Zakir Naik do the talking instead through the video that I have provided down below.

SubhanAllah! Believe me, there are no other lectures that I have seen so far that could truly give us some light into the question that I had posed today. It is the best lecture that I have seen and heard so far in my whole life!

I strongly recommend both Muslims and Hindus to view the video down below. It is very lengthy; in fact it is the longest video that I had ever posted here in this blog. The whole running time is 1 hour: 50 minutes: 22 seconds! Please bear with it, folks!

Wouldn’t it be great if our Malaysian Religious Authorities could organize similar talks on comparative religions here in Malaysia in the future?

Such lectures can help Malaysians understand a little bit more about our different religions and beliefs and may even bring us closer together as Malaysians. InsyAllah! :-)

This video maybe offensive and inappropriate for some folks. Viewer discretion is advised

Zakir Naik is the biggest joker I have heard of. According to him islam permits polygamy as number of woman > number of men , so all women cannot find husbands if monogamy is allowed. However he conveniently forgets that most muslim countries have greater number of men than women. Also if islamic advice of 4 wives were followed sex ratio would have to be 250 men to 1000 women not 960 men to 1000 women. Also is ignored is the crucial aspect of womens rights in islam which are far inferior to those enjoyed by men.

I'm very interested to find your blog and this topic - I am studying world religions as a hobby, and started out with Hinduism and then Islam. I'd love any insights you wanted to share!
