Malaysian flag burning photo was doctored?

Yes, folks!

That’s what one Malaysian blogger that goes by the name of Mohd Nasir Mustafa had claimed in his blog on the 15th of September. His claim was also highlighted in Malaysia Today today. As of time of writing, folks over at MalaysiaKini have yet to say anything on this matter.

If you are wondering what this is all about, this has something to do with that infamous picture of a Malaysian who purportedly burned our Malaysian flag on the 8th of September 2007 during the Pantai Batu Buruk incident.

Mohd Nasir Mustafa claimed that:

The one that look so damn obvious to me is B. If you are familiar with Adobe PhotoShop or Macromedia Fireworks, you would know that any images cut out with such tools would leave visible sharp edges. Experienced graphics editors would normally lessen the appearance of the sharp edges by applying feathering techniques. I guess the buffoon who doctored the image could have forgotten to do that! :-)

What do you think, folks?

Maybe I should send that Malaysian flag burning photo to Al-Qaeda’s digital forensic team. I’m sure that they would be more than happy to help us here. Let me give Osama a call first. :-)
