Raja Petra Kamarudin has thrown down the gauntlet to UMNO!

I regularly read Malaysia Today, Raja Petra Kamarudin’s blog. I read it on daily basis for years now and suffice to say that I’m used to his aggressive ‘no holds barred' style of writing.

Yesterday however, he gave me the shock of my life! We all know that his past writings have pissed off some folks in UMNO (the largest political party in Malaysia) and they have launched numerous counterattacks against Raja Petra Kamarudin as we have all read and see in the local daily newspapers and television news channels.

Yesterday, I saw a new side of Raja Petra Kamarudin. Unlike most other coward Malaysian political bloggers who would launch attacks and then go into hiding somewhere (hit and run) when the heat is getting to hot for them, Raja Petra Kamarudin however stand his ground like a true gentleman! As matter of fact, he has thrown down the gauntlet to those who chided him. Raja Petra Kamarudin has made it very clear yesterday that he is willing to go all the way; he is willing to face every UMNO members assembled in any kind of gatherings and repeat all his allegations right in front of everyone!

I gave a few friends of mine a few calls yesterday. My friends happen to be members of our local opposition parties and they too had expressed their shocks on this new development. Nonetheless, they do believe that the Malaysian opposition parties would not let Raja Petra Kamarudin face this matter alone. They would rally and support Raja Petra Kamarudin sooner or later. How much this is true remains to be seen. Let’s see what would happen in the next couple of days. I took a peek at MalaysiaKini just now and as of time of writing; they have not said anything about this. You know something; this is the best time to see the true colors of our local political opposition parties, our alternative news media and the rest of our Malaysian political bloggers. This event may reveal some surprises in the future. Stay tuned, folks!

I’m really worried about Raja Petra Kamarudin now. No doubt that he is the bravest Malaysian in the online world. My fear is that we might lose him one day.

Malay Women In Malaysia,

I assume that you are a Malay. Why don't you translate Raja Petra's article into Malay so as to allow it to be circulated amongs the Malays? I am sure you know that many kampong folks are not exposed to the internet. No one expects them to know that the very party they are supporting is that filthy. This help them to realize their past follies of blindly supporting UMNO.
