Friday Special – Malaysian Malay Muslims and their obligation towards performing their daily prayers!

Well well well… Today is Friday and it is time for me dish out my Friday Special weekly segment again. :-)

All right, let’s talk about ‘solat’ or prayer today. Every Muslims knew that ‘solat’ or prayer is the Second Pillar of Islam but how obligated are we in performing them in daily basis? Be honest with yourself, how obligated are you?
  • “Ignorant Malaysian Malays (Melayu) hate to miss a single minute of any reality TV shows such as Akademi Fantasia (fully packed with Sins!) but yet they have the tendency to purposely miss their obligatory daily prayers for no apparent reasons!”
  • “Ignorant Malaysian Malays would do their best to be on time to meet their beloved sweethearts on dates (simply Sinful!) but yet they have the tendency to delay their obligatory daily prayers to their very last minutes!”
  • “Ignorant Malaysian Malays hate to miss their buses, Putra LRT and KTM commuter trains in their morning rush hours. They are willing to go out to work in the wee hours of the morning but yet they sensed and felt no guilt in missing their Early Morning prayers (Salatu-l-Fajr)!”
Believe me, I can give you a longer list if I want to but I think those three are more than enough to knock some sense into everybody. You can use your imagination on the rest. We have all made some bad mistakes in the past. Are you going to repeat them all over again or fix them?

Give us Strength, Ya Allah… Give us Guidance, Ya Allah…

Great video... Great nasheed...
