Beware of rumor mongers!

I could not help but wonder why suddenly out of nowhere we have rumors flying in the air that say we have some kind of racial riots in certain parts of Johor. According to the report published by MalaysiaKini, the rumors involved Malaysians living in Masai and Pasir Gudang.

I don’t know about you guys but I simply find this weird. To the best of my knowledge, we did not have any big racial issues that could have sparked such racial riots in the first place. All we have at the moment is a big growing sense of dissent and dissatisfaction towards the current ruling government! Personally, I don’t believe that such racial riots existed. I don’t believe that poor Malaysians who are suffering and struggling to make ends meet nowadays have the heart to raise ‘parangs’ (Machetes) at each other. I really don’t think so.

We should ask ourselves the following big three questions:
  1. Why these so called racial riots seem to have taken place in Johor? Keep in mind that Johor is the heart and the strongest stronghold for UMNO and Barisan Nasional.
  2. Why these so called rumors of racial riots surfaced out of nowhere in the light of our nationwide sense of dissent and dissatisfaction towards the current ruling government?
  3. Why these so called rumors of racial riots surfaced a few days before the nation’s 50th year of independence celebration?
Did some irresponsible parties purposely orchestrated and spun such rumors to gain some political mileage?

Did some irresponsible parties purposely orchestrated and spun such rumors to divert and shift the attention of the Malaysian public from other real national impacting issues?

HarakahDaily today has sent out a warning to all Malaysians. They told us not to be fooled and easily trapped with such rumors of racial riots and racial provocations. You readers out there should go and read their warning today.

Come on Malaysians! We all know what the real problems are all about! Pay no attention to such rumors please. We have been living together in peace and harmony for so many years now. As matter of fact, the nationwide sense of dissent and dissatisfaction towards the current ruling government has united us Malaysians even stronger! Please do not let such stupid and silly rumors ruined everything.

Stand united, Malaysians!
