Malaysians, are you ready to pay more than RM5 for a liter of petrol?

Ahh… This is the blasted question that no Malaysians want to hear! :-) Sorry to say that I have to pose such question to Malaysians today because events that have transpired in the United States yesterday make it more than likely that Malaysians will have to pay for more than RM5 per liter of petrol in the near future!

When will that happen? I don’t know. That old man, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his cahoots and cronies did say that there would be no more fuel price hike this year but their words can no longer be counted upon lately. You know, they are pretty good at flip flopping. :-)

Now, if you don’t want to believe that you will have to pay more than RM5 per liter of petrol some time soon, please take some time to view the following videos. Pay special attention to the second video and take note of President of OPEC’s prediction that crude oil prices could reach US170 per barrel in the coming months! The first video is also very alarming; oil speculators speculate that crude oil prices will cost US200 per barrel in 2010!

Die! Die! Die! Malaysians who refuse to change their pretentious luxurious lifestyles and find ways to save money will die soon!

What is the morale of this post today, Malaysians?

If you are still ignorant, let me tell you that you have to get rid of your ridiculous burden of debts, change your lifestyles and start saving huge amounts of money from today onwards!

Yes.. get ready to really change your lifestyle...

Put in the ubi rebus in your daily menu...

I think the government can do something about the issue...

This is a great article...

I really do not understand the world economy. I think there is a major artificial economic structure, with all prices seems taking its own direction not base on the supply and demand fundamentals....

I do think that different people have different views on the issue. Economist may have a different view in economic different from a doctor, an engineer, a lawyer or an archtect and of course people who do plantations, fisherman, paddy farmers, have a very different views of economics.

For example, the US economy that take their pride in their free trade market system, have been hit with some crisis over the years... The dot com, the Enron crisis, now we have a looming currency crisis that slowly hitting American economic.

When I look at Singapore, we can see that the country also have some kind of economic structure that can be taken as some form of subsidy. In some developed country, the government also provide a lot of subsidy to the people, even people who do not work receive some sort of assistance..

I think what is more important is for the leadership to understand the economic situation of the country and to outline the necessary measures to ensure the positive economic development in the country..

Now, before you can RM5 per liter or RM10 per liter, let me ask you a question;

Are we buying oil from another country?

If we are buying, then we need to follow global price.

We PRODUCE excellent gred oil which we EXPORT. And we import the lower gred oil for our domestic consumption.

Salam Muslim,

You should have asked that question 10 years ago while we still have a lot of oil reserves. Now, it is rather too late, much too late to pose such question not only to me but also to the government. Our oil reserves are depleting at an incredible rate and PETRONAS did warn us that we will no longer be an oil producing country in the next few years.

Besides, what is the point of seeking justice behind this ‘Malaysia is an oil producing country’ thing?

Don’t you realize that we are too late to do anything?

Have you forgotten the fact the government has committed itself to develop many mega projects that cost us billions of ringgit and the costs will balloon even more every time crude oil prices went up?

Our government no longer has that much money; this is why Malaysians were slapped with a hefty fuel price hike recently. The government wouldn’t have done that if they really got money.

No doubt that the government will use profits from PETRONAS to bail out their mega projects. We can’t blame the government for doing that. Just like any other Malaysians, I also don’t like those mega projects but the government has committed itself and I can understand why the government has to make sure that no harm will come to them. By hook or crook, those mega projects must go on. If something bad happened to them, the whole nation will lose face and investors will run helter-skelter and invest money some place else.

Do you want that to happen to our country? :-)

Please do not believe all those crap that you hear from our PAKATAN RAKYAT. They don’t know the whole story about PETRONAS. They were just guessing and thought that they can do something about it.

Sure, you were right about Malaysia exporting premium grade of sweet oil but do you know that our imports are now costing the nation much more than our exports?

I don’t think you know that. :-)

Look Malaysians, why don’t you mix around and mingle with some people at PETRONAS that are working in Operations or Finance departments. Ask them about this and I’m sure that they are more than willing to give you the real picture about our situation.
