Abdullah Ahmad Badawi resigns?

At least the following news clip confirms that he is not resigning, he is sticking with Barisan Nasional whatever it takes.

As far as I’m concerned, he should resigns and leave Barisan Nasional. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as matter of fact should join PAS and seek their guidance to help him repent and seek forgiveness to Allah swt. Go back to basics and emerge as a better Muslim perhaps in 2012.

Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them, reported:
I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) saying: If there were for the son of Adam a valley full of riches, he would long to possess another one like it, and the son of Adam will only be filled with dust (when he dies). And Allah accepts the repentance of the one who repents.
