While MalaysiaKini, HarakahDaily and Malaysia Today put most of their efforts in highlighting stories related to the Lingam Tape saga today, the StarOnline meanwhile dished out a new story on the Vellu Rates saga instead. Yeah, we haven’t heard much about the legendary Vellu Rates saga lately. :-)
Yes, folks. Our Malaysian Works Minister has wonderful news for all Malaysians today. Come next year, eight concessionaries would raise their charges and we were told that the toll hike can go up as high as 10%.
Why only 10%, we Malaysians are all filthy rich, aren’t we? Go for 100%! Business is business, you know. Make those shareholders happy!
Bwah! Ha! Ha!
Same old story all over again. Hey, you poor Malaysians out there! If you like this kind of story, keep on voting for Barisan Nasional in the next coming general election.
Who cares about hardship and poverty, isn’t it?

This is the best business in town! Every now and then, you get a price increase aided by the government. God help those who increase their prices on some so-called essential items. You get a whole mob of government enforcers visiting you. If the toll operators cannot make money on their own, I suggest they give the business back to the government.
