A recent report published by MalaysiaKini today indicated that our illustrious superstar alleged to be involved in the Lingam Tape saga may get his wish for an extension after all! He may not get the full six-month extension but a short two-month instead.
What the heck was that?
Was it an unholy compromise of some sort?
Nothing in Malaysia makes any sense nowadays. Wouldn’t it better off if the powers that be temporarily suspend the illustrious superstar instead of giving him a new lease of life for his controversial career?
For crying out loud! That superstar is alleged to be involved in a judicial-fixing allegation! Doesn’t that mean anything to the powers that be?
The government recently suspended two Marine Department Ship Inspectors who were on duty on the day when that ill fated ferry caught fire over in Mersing. There is the magic word, ‘suspended’!
If they can do that to those Ship Inspectors, why can’t they do the same for our illustrious superstar?
Why the double standard?
Where are your Hadhari principles, the same principles that you folks have been bragging about even in space recently?
By the way readers, you might be interested to know that our Malaysian Bar Council has organized an online poll on this matter recently. From the looks of it, it is open to everybody. Feel free to participate if you like.
