Wow! Our Malaysian Malay women are now advertised on Google! Aren’t you proud of them?

Congratulations Malaysian Malay women (wanita Melayu)! Today you have outdone yourselves!

I know you Malaysian Malay ladies love fame, fortune and publicity but I never thought that you would have the stomach to let people do this kind of cheap stunt on you.

Take a look at the screenshot provided down below. It is a screenshot of a Google-based online advertisement that I had just discovered a few hours ago in the internet. Anyone notice anything funny about it? Look for one particular ad with that ‘Video Gadis Melayu’ headline. Yes, that’s the one.

I have no way of confirming this but it does look as if the ad is advertised by YouTube Dot Com. Yeah, that well known video sharing & hosting website that most Malaysians are well familiar with. Now, take a closer look at the advertisement one more time. Tell me what you see written in the text just below the headline. I’m sure that you would see that it is written with “semua video melayu , tangkap curi video gadis melayu, perempuan”, am I right?

For the benefit of my foreign readers, the written text if we translate it to English, it would mean “all Malay videos, videos of Malay women being taped unknowingly, women”. Now, the part with “tangkap curi gadis melayu” or “…being taped unknowingly…” bothers me a little bit. What does the advertiser really meant here? What sort of videos are they talking about?

To the minds of perverts, I’m pretty sure that they would imagine lewd or pornographic videos of Malaysian Malay women! Do you know that we have a lot of those on YouTube? Yes, I’m afraid so. Some of our Malaysian Malay women are pretty stupid; they willingly uploaded sick videos of themselves onto YouTube. To be fair, some of those uploaded videos were not really their direct doings. They were uploaded by some irresponsible parties, parties with those sick hobbies of manipulating and taking advantage of our naive Malaysian Malay women. :-(

I have my personal opinion on the online advertisement highlighted today but I’m not going to share it with you. You readers out there are smart enough to think on your own. I will leave this to your discretion. If you think that the online advertisement is offensive and damaging to our Malaysian Malay women, feel free to file a complaint to Google. If you think that it is okay, just ignore it and let our Malaysian Malay women savor their moments of glory in this cheap publicity. :-)
