Earlier today, I stumbled upon a very interesting but yet quite disturbing video on YouTube that posed a lot of questions on Hindi or Bollywood movies. I’m sure that every one of you out there knew that India’s movie making industry (Bollywood) is the world’s largest. They made thousands of movies in a year! Yeah, even Hollywood does not produce that many movies.
The video that I was talking about (featured down below) claimed that there is an ugly side of the Hindi or Bollywood movies that many are unaware of. Pardon me; I could not really confirm this but the video maker claimed that some Hindi or Bollywood movies gave appalling portrayals and pictures of Islam and Muslims. Like what I have said earlier, I could not really confirm it. I’m not a sucker fan of Hindi or Bollywood movies. I hardly watch them, never would be the right word. What about you Malaysian Malay women, some of you have hundreds of Hindi or Bollywood movie collections stored in your homes. So, tell me… Is it true?

I did ask a few online friends of mine (bloggers, just like me) who are currently living in India and they said that it is true but the situation is not that alarming. They said that of all Hindi or Bollywood movies, 20-30% of them may gave bad or appalling portrayals and pictures of Islam and Muslims. However, they do notice that the numbers are rising year by year. If this is true, does this mean that those Hindi or Bollywood movie producers are now getting bolder and arrogant?
Unfortunately, only the movie producers themselves could answer this question to every Muslims all over the world. :-(
