According to the number one person in Federal CID, Malaysia has seen a tremendous increase in criminal activities in the first 5 months of 2007 and that includes rape cases. As matter of fact, rape cases specifically have risen 28% higher than those reported in the same period last year! Thus making sexual crimes such as rape and sexual harassment as the highest risen crimes in Malaysia for the first 5 months of 2007! This is unprecedented! Mugging would normally be at number one but somehow rape cases have beaten mugging this year. What’s going on?
With the increasing costs of living nationwide, one would normally expect crimes such as mugging to be prevalent. Yes, Datuk Christopher Wan Soo Kee did mentioned that mugging has also increased considerably this year but how can we explain that disturbing and phenomenal rise of sexual crimes such as rape cases? I really find this weird! This is bigger than Akademi Fantasia, Malaysian Malay women! :-P
I know that this would be a silly long shot but if there’s any walking rapist on the loose out there that is reading this post today, I would like to hear your input on this matter. What makes you rapists tick? Why are you resorting to sexual crimes such as rape in the first place? Is it simply for the sake of satisfying your uncontrollable sexual desires? In actual truth, we all know the answers all ready but let’s just play dumb today and let the experts share their side of the story. :)
