i will tell you an interestin report. according to the latest studies, one out of every third american lives or has something to do with Drug or Alchol Addiction. that can tell you much we are living under the jaws of alcohol and drugs. and ibeing in this field i can tell you just one thing that it is not chronic, it is very much curable

I don't think anyone can overstate the negative impact alcohol has on the lives of American families and the health of communities. The fact is that a significant portion of the population just cannot "drink responsibly" because they have an addiction. I work with an addiction treatment center near Oakland and there are literally tens of thousands of people in the Bay Area who need help, but only a fraction of them will successfully "get clean" and stay that way. Prohibition is not the answer, but more resources need to be devoted to helping people avoid becoming addicted and get treated if they are.
