I do know that Malaysia has a lot of dangerous pesticides and many people had used it to commit suicides but seriously, I have never heard of genocide being practiced here. Now all of a sudden, some Malaysians who probably think that they are smarter than everyone else claimed that we do have genocide in this country. What the heck!?
Do they even know what genocide really means?
Article 2 of United Nations Convention of the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime (CPPCG) of Genocide 1948 defined genocide as ‘any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life, calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.’
To my best knowledge and based upon the above definition, we certainly do not have such situation here in Malaysia. The bottom line is that we do not have genocide!
Folks! Do you know that many Indian and foreign journalists and human rights activists believe that genocide actually exists over there in India?
