Who is getting richer, who is getting poorer?

Well folks… The answer depends on your position in our fictitious Malaysian food chain system.

Before I elaborate any further, have you folks read that fine letter submitted by Panir and published by MalaysiaKini yesterday? If you have not read it yet, please go and read the letter now because what I’m about to post here today has something to do with that.

As you can see from his letter, it is obvious that our Panir is very much disappointed with the ever rising cost of living today. Yes, it is getting unbearable and pretty ridiculous. Thanks to Barisan Nasional Public Limited of course. There are many more people like Panir really, plenty more! I don’t know whether you folks notice it or not but our poor and needy Malaysians make up the majority of the people.

It is not that easy to see them really because they hide their hardships in numerous disguises. Some pretend to be rich or doing well by buying big and expensive cars through debts. Some pretend to be rich or doing well by buying big houses through debts. Some pretend to be rich or doing well by gambling profusely, LadBrokes, horse bets and mahjongs for examples. Believe me, no matter how rich and wealthy they may look like; they are actually dead broke deep inside.

That’s how Malaysians like to live. What can we do about it? We can do nothing for the time being. It is a part of our sick culture, I suppose. Remember the classic Malay saying, ‘Biar papa, asal bergaya!’ :-)

Of course, not everyone is poor and needy. There are some who really make money and live life like Pharaohs of the Egyptian past. Our poor and needy Malaysians can only watch them from afar and hope that they would be like them someday.

Inspired by our filthy rich and famous, our poor and needy Malaysians work their butts off but by the time they reach their 40s or 50s, they suddenly realize that they are not going anywhere. Dreams remain to be dreams. They only found more hardships and sufferings. :-(

Come on Malaysians… It is high time that you folks realize that for the past 50 years, you folks have been living under a cruel and inhumane Malaysian food chain system. Some may call it a caste system (the father of all racism) but I prefer to look at it as some kind of a national food chain system.

Consider our fictitious Malaysian food chain as a big pyramid with five levels:
At the top level, we have the Barisanmin group. They are at the top and the most powerful group in the whole food chain system. Yes, they are the main predator, the top dog. Power and money are their daily toys. I have to stop here; I might puke if I try to describe them any further.

Right below, we have the Big Tycoonriya or Big Taukehriya group. They are the second most powerful group in the food chain system. They have lots of money but lack the power to wreak full havoc in the whole food chain system. Their lack of power is substituted with their incredible intelligence. Correct, correct correct! They can easily influence the top predator, the Barisanmin group with money, lots of money. Many conspiracy theorists believe that it is the Big Tycoonriya or Big Taukehriya group that actually runs the whole food chain system. We may have to set up an Independent Panel to investigate such allegation.

Next, we have the Small Tycoonriya or Small Taukehriya group. They are not at all powerful and they are not exactly rich either but they are doing pretty okay. They have enough luxury and comfort to last throughout their lifetime. They are in the process of building empires of their own but they have to gain the blessing of the Big Tycoonriya or Big Taukehriya group first which is easier said than done.

Right down below, we have the Rakyatra group. They have to toil really hard to earn a living. Luxury and wealth are totally alien to them. They could only dream about it and they are still dreaming about getting rich and famous after 50 long damn years. They are not glamorous but they are the biggest group in the food chain system. They are pretty blind, not realizing that they can easily use their huge number to bring change and make things better for the whole groups in the food chain system. The top predator or the Barisanmin group is actually scared of the Rakyatra group. The Barisanmin group would do everything they can to make sure that the Rakyatra group remains to be blind, stupid and dumb.

Last and at the bottommost level is the Poodah group. This group is so filthy to the eyes of the top predator, the Barisanmin group. They have to live outside of the food chain system. Some were prevented from making any social contacts with the rest of the groups. They were often placed in special camps; the one in Kamunting is just one of them. Rumors have it that hardcore local bloggers that purportedly spread lies about the Barisanmin group have been categorized as members of this Poodah group. As of time of writing however, nobody knows for sure the who’s who of this mysterious Poodah group.

There you are folks, our fictitious Malaysian food chain system.

Do you think that we might have such a system working against us out there at the moment? :-)

That is not really important. What is important is that Capitalism is not invincible. Capitalism can be stopped if you folks really work together hand-in-hand.

Let’s go back to our Panir, the person who wrote the letter that we were talking about earlier in this post. I dare say that Panir is in the Rakyatra group. It is so damn obvious.

What about you?

If you are reading this post my dear Panir, I would like to remind you that you do have the power to bring change to this country of ours. Make it count in the next coming general election.

All for a better Malaysia! A better Malaysia for all!
