Please go and read this one particular report published by Financial Times yesterday. I totally agree with John Burton. The Malaysian government is indeed under tremendous pressure after BERSIH held their huge mass rally in total defiance of the government’s despicable threats and warnings.
The fact that the event had captured the attention of foreign news media even made it more difficult for the government to hide the hard awful fact that the common people have lost their confidence and faith in the rotting government.
Nothing in this temporary world lasts forever, Barisan Nasional!
BERSIH have done a good job all right. The mass rally was cleverly organized right after the end of UMNO’s Annual General Assembly. I can see that people around here in Ipoh didn’t even say anything about UMNO’s assembly. Everyone is talking about BERSIH’s mass rally with a sense of pride even though they did not participate in the rally.
Yes folks! BERSIH’s mass rally had clearly outshone and outclassed UMNO’s Annual General Assembly! This is a rare and unprecedented event! :-)
After taking some deserved rest yesterday, I can see that MalaysiaKini and HarakahDaily today have returned with all guns firing. Yes, they should pile more pressure on the government. Make them sweat for they have done that to poor Malaysians for too many times all ready. :-(
Alas, we should not forget to support and encourage Our Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the rest of our Malay Sultanates to go and help us reform (we need a complete overhaul!) the election process. Please do not go overboard in sensationalizing the highly successfully mass rally. The focus now should be more on our Monarchies. Our Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the rest of our Malay Sultanates now carry our hopes for the future of this blessed country of ours.
Help us, Your Majesty!
