I have voiced it in one of my posts earlier today. I’m pretty glad that MalaysiaKini even suspected it as much in one of their postings today. I’m also pretty glad that Malaysians are not that easily fooled nowadays. :-)
We have so many impacting issues plaguing the nation recently:
- The Pantai Batu Buruk incident
- The Lingam Tape video saga
- The pathetic decline of Press Freedom in Malaysia as indicated by Reporters Without Borders Dot Org’s Press Freedom Index 2007 and
- The astonishing law suit won by an ex ISA detainee against the world’s greatest government!
All those significant events are giving bad PR for Barisan Nasional. Most of my foreign friends said that Malaysia is getting pretty ridiculous by the minute. Just imagine; our own country is giving shame to its very citizens! Much of it can be blamed upon Barisan Nasional though.
Barisan Nasional is desperately looking for salvation at the moment. They just have to save their face and do some damage control real quick. The PAC visit to Port Klang Free Zone is just another one of their strategic or tactical media diversion. Damage control! It was a mere ploy to give us the false impression that they are really concerned about the affairs of the nation.
Yeah right!
Just ignore it and let us focus on other pressing issues.
