Earlier today, MalaysiaKini highlighted something that many Malaysian Malays might find as offensive. Not me. I truly believe that other good Muslims in Malaysia might not feel offended as well. Only true hot blooded racists would react to such stories and rest assured that good Muslims are not racists.
I’m referring to DAP’s claim that we have three government circulars instructing who knows who to give contracts and tenders to Bumiputeras only. Please head over to MalaysiaKini to know more.
As a Muslim, I’m against such act of discrimination because it would only make other people unhappy. Oppression, favoritism, cronyism and nepotism are all against the teachings of Islam. It would be shameful to the Islamic world if Malaysia, the so called exemplary Islamic State silently practiced oppression, favoritism, cronyism and nepotism. It would indeed be a crying shame!
I would like to remind those Hadhari folks to respect the rights of the non-Muslims. What you folks may have been doing all this while was not only wrong but also sinful because you have deprived the rights of others.
You Hadhari folks should go back and read this Fatwa issued on the 2nd of June 2002 by IslamWeb Dot Net. I would only quote a few lines from the Fatwa:
“The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and all Caliphs ordered Muslims to treat them (the Zimmis@Dhimmi) kindly and keep their properties safe.
The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "Anyone who harms a Zimmi, I will be his litigant and I will beat the one to be an opponent on the Day of Judgment.”
[al-Suyuti in his book al-Jam'i al-Sughir with a good chain of narrators].”
To those who may have been forced to commit or accept oppression, favoritism, cronyism and nepotism because you have been ordered to do so by your superiors, please ponder upon the following Hadith:
Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, reported:
The Holy Prophet (may peace be upon him) said: It is obligatory upon a Muslim that he should listen (to the ruler appointed over him) and obey him whether he likes it or not, except that he is ordered to do a sinful thing. If he is ordered to do a sinful act, a Muslim should neither listen to him nor should he obey his orders.
Hadith number in Sahih Muslim [Arabic only]: 3423
Now that I have said what I got to say, let me encourage DAP to find out the truth behind that story about the three government circulars.
Go get them, DAP!

Ma'qil bin Yasar, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
Verily I have heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) say: Anyone among the bondsmen (of Allah) who was entrusted with the affairs of his subjects and he died in such a state that he was dishonest in his dealings with those over whom he ruled, Paradise would be forbidden for him.
