Perak Religious Department VS Siti Noor Idayu – The outcome is simply a big disgrace!

I really don’t know how to describe my feelings when I found out after reading the latest news over at TheStar Online late yesterday evening that the Perak Religious Department made the decision to drop their case against Siti Noor Idayu, a 22 year old Malaysian Malay ‘mat saleh’ (westerner) wannabe young woman (wanita Melayu).

I felt anger, disappointment, anguish and sadness all together. A real sense of mixed emotions!

Come on now Perak Religious Department! Do you know how silly you look and sound like to the rest of the Malaysian people, especially to the non-Malaysian Malays?

What would they think of the Religious Departments now? Whatever it is, it would not be rosy. :-(

This whole thing really opens up more questions really. If our Religious Department could not crack their whips on such cases then who the hell should discipline Malaysian Malay (Melayu) Muslims when they crossed the line? Tell me today, who the hell is going to do that then? George Bush? Osama Bin Laden? :-(

I’m sure that Siti Noor Idayu is beaming with pride today. After all, her case made the whole Perak Religious Department looked like fools! She’s probably bragging all about it to every Tom, Dick and Harry over in Ipoh. I’m also pretty sure that the rest of the ‘mat saleh’ wannabe Malaysian Malays would be rejoicing in numerous pubs and bars somewhere celebrating their yet another victory against the weak and toothless local Religious Departments. :-(


To Siti Noor Idayu… You are no better than Lina Joy, both of you are in the same bloody boat. You have smeared the good name of your parents with your stupid arrogance. Shame on you!
