UMNO did something right for a change. I’m referring to their decision to support and recognize Ahmad Said as the Menteri Besar of Terengganu in line with the wishes of the Sultan of Terengganu.
UMNO has to quickly shift their focus on other pertinent issues now. I’m a bit worried after seeing that the Malays are now splintered into so many different factions after the recent 2008 Malaysian General Election. In the past, the Malays were either with UMNO or PAS but now PKR has made it even worst. UMNO itself is facing internal division and conflict.
What would happen to the Malays now?
Malays must remember that other parties are watching this new development with glee. Take a look around the Malaysian blogospere and you can see what I mean. The Malays could not afford to be weak at the moment.
