YAB Tuan Guru Dato' Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat believes that we can still salvage the New Economic Policy that has been misused and abused by the elite and filthy rich Malays (sounds like UMNO… Bwah! Ha! Ha!).
Perhaps so, my dear Tuan Guru. Efforts to salvage NEP must be done and initiated by those trusted by the common people. Personally, I believe that only PAS should be given the initiative and responsibility of tweaking NEP to make it work for everybody.
As for your prediction of the destruction of UMNO and Malay secularism; InsyAllah… Islam will be victorious in the end and Justice will prevail for everybody regardless of religion, race and color.
Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
People used to ask the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) about the good deeds, but I used to ask him about the bad deeds fearing lest they overtake me. I said: Messenger of Allah, we were in the midst of ignorance and evil, and then Allah brought us this good (time through Islam). Will there be any bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. I asked: Will there be a good time again after that bad time? He said: Yes, but therein will be a hidden evil. I asked: What will be the evil hidden therein? He said: (That time will witness the rise of) people who will adopt ways other than mine and seek guidance other than mine. You will know good points as well as bad points. I asked: Will there be a bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. (A time will come) when there will be people standing and inviting at the gates of Hell. Who so responds to their call they will throw into the fire. I said: Messenger of Allah, describe them for us. He said: All right. They will be a people having the same complexion as ours and speaking our language. I said: Messenger of Allah, what do you suggest if I happen to live in that time? He said: You should stick to the main body of the Muslims and their leader. I said: If they have no (such thing as the) main body and have no leader? He said: Separate yourself from all these factions, even if you have to eat the roots of trees (in a jungle) until death comes to you and you are in this state.

Hi Saidul,
Looks like on this question of Islamic state we will never ever come to an agreement. However, it is becoming clearer and clearer that only Islam, its victory and imposition of an Islamic state is important to you, and those who do not want it matters not to you. From previous discussions and research, it is clear although Muslim may disagree, in an Islamic state, not everyone is equal. A non-Muslim as well as a Muslim woman do not have the same right as a Muslim man. Prove to me I am wrong and I will retract my statement and apologize.
Why would a Muslim insist on imposing an Islamic state on those who do not want it?
