On the 17th of December 2005, MalaysiaKini published a very disturbing story about the condition of live chickens raised and reared by KFC’s chicken farms in the United States. The story raised further questions on the condition of live chickens raised and reared by our local KFC as well. The video that I have provided down below has more on this appalling story.
On the 7th of September 2007, HarakahDaily also published a story that is related with KFC. According to HarakahDaily, 80% of our local KFC customers are Malaysian Malays (Melayu). I’m not all surprised since chicken is the Malaysian Malays’ top staple meat. Everyone loves chicken!Come to think of it, the Malaysian Malays nowadays are too dependent upon ready made food supplied by food suppliers. No wonder the Malaysian Malays today are much weaker than their past generations. In the past, the Malaysian Malays are self dependent. They raised their own chickens, goats and cows for consumption. If they feel like having chicken for dinner, they only have to catch a few and slaughter them on their own. My late beloved mother and father (still living) reared and raised chickens in the past. My father had even reared a few goats too but it did not really work out for him then.
Yeah, life was blessed then!
Nowadays, the Malaysian Malays are just too dependent on others to prepare food for them. Some of our Malaysian Malay children today as matter of fact did not really know how a real chicken, goat and cow look like! I also noticed that many Malaysian Malays especially those living in big cities today did not know how to slaughter animals according to Islamic rituals (zabihah)! SubhanAllah! The Malaysian Malays today have truly become ignorant Muslims! :-(
To all Malaysian Malays… Before you take a bite off any KFC fried chickens in the future, please ask yourselves the following question:
Are we saving those chickens from extinction or do we indirectly contribute to their pain and sufferings?
