Fish Pedicure, the latest craze for American salons

What? What is so funny? Why are you laughing? Haven’t your heard of fish therapy or fish pedicure before?

What the heck is Fish Pedicure anyway?

Beats me! But I have seen a few spas offering fish therapy or fish pedicure in Singapore and Langkawi.

All I know after doing some digging is that fish therapy or fish pedicure originates from Turkey and some say from ancient China. Instead of using sharp razor blades to scrape off dead skin, salons are now using a group of fish called garra rufa (certainly not piranhas!) to do the scrapings. Those toothless fish will go for your toes and nibble away your dead and flaking skins.

Sounds kind of fun!
